Opportunities

Your assignment will be tailored to suit your talents
and interests. The following are some examples of opportunities
available:
|
|
Hospitality Services: snack
cart, coffee cart, delivering mail, ironing.
|
|
Resident Companion: one
on one visits (which may include reading, taking residents
on walks, playing cards, special language visits, or
just talking)
|
|
Silver Spoons: assist
with feeding some of our residents who are dependent
in this task
|
|
Group Assistant/ Leader:
assist or lead a variety of groups including Bingo,
Pokeno, arts & crafts, special interest groups,
men's club, gardening, cooking, etc.
|
|
Assist
with parties, special events, trips out.
|
|
Creative Services: decorate
for the holidays, decorate residents' rooms, play an
instrument, lead or assist with an art group, etc.
|
|
Volunteer Liaison: visit
residents who may be in the local hospital.
|
|
Sunshine Committe: assist
with our Sunshine Committee which sends birthday cards,
get well cards, and sympathy cards to residents and
families. Assist us in welcoming new residents and helping
them adjust to placement.
